Mental Health Lead: Mrs B Rose
In the Summer of 2020, Wakefield ran a competition for children to have a piece of work published in the Kindness Times Newspaper, as part of National Mental Health Week. Maisy, who was in Year 4 at the time, made us incredibly proud with her entry.
Future in Minds
School works closely with Future in Minds (part of the CAMHS Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service) to provide emotional and mental health support to our pupils. Each term, school discusses key children who would benefit from additional support, with the Future in Minds practitioner to gain advice, referrals and resources to support us in our work with these and other children. In future, these meetings will also include a representative from our local Children's First Hub to allow us to integrate more closely and offer support to include the wider family.
