We have lots of fun learning to share with you as we explore the world of Vikings and Anglo-Saxons. We are also learning about animals and their habitats, food technology and creating our very own electronic toy in ICT. How exciting!
This term is really important for our Year 4 children as they are now needing to sit their MTC in June. We ask that you practise times tables at home with children as often as you possibly can as the expectation is that all children know their times tables to 12x12 by the end of Year 4. We have signed up to EMILE which is a great resource for practising as well as Times Tables Rock Stars! Follow the links below to log in:
For this term, we are basing all of our writing around a new book in Novel Study. Our book for this term is How To Train Your Dragon by Cressida Cowell.
We will be exploring this book in lots of detail and creating our very own writing based on what happens throughout the story. We will be writing newspaper reports about the characters, descriptions about the settings and even a set of instructions on how to catch your very own dragon!
For ICT, we will be using Scratch to design and create our very own electronic toys on the computers. Here is a link to Scratch so that you can practise at home!
